You must read Scruffy, the Dog if you love dogs and enjoy heartwarming yet heartbreaking stories.

Brenda, a single mother raising her only child, made the difficult decision to leave her abusive and alcoholic husband—a decision that changed her life for the better.

As a police officer, Brenda faced abuse from her male coworkers, enduring snide remarks and sexist comments. Despite the mistreatment, she continued, not wanting to cause more trouble.

During her work, Brenda encounters a badly abused dog, and despite calling it animal control, nobody seems willing to take the dog in.

When Brenda and her daughter decide to take in the pup, they soon discover that Scruffy is no ordinary dog. Through Scruffy's presence, they learn valuable lessons and experience the magic of unconditional love.

In Scruffy, the Dog, experience the transformative power of resilience, hope, and the unbreakable bond between a family and their beloved companion.

I loved this book. It reflects how we are as a human race, along with our best friend, the dog. They certainly are there for us when needed, we should be just as kind and caring. The book is about a single mother who went through an abusive marriage. She and her daughter came across a little dog at the rescue. But they didn't realize she was a little different from other dogs. There was a mystery about her, with certain talents and intuitions. She gave the family what they brought her. Love and kindness. This is certainly a must-read. Maybe it will help you become a little kinder to others, the way we want to be treated
